I finally took the time to check this place out. I went during the Spring 2014 semester. Apparently now, I just recently heard that it is illegal to visit Adobe Falls and you can get in trouble for trespassing if you are caught on the property.
Balboa Park was one of the first places I went to when I found my love for night photography. I’ve always enjoyed the area during the day, I wanted to see what kind of photos I could come up with when I went there during the night time.
This is a place that I’ve always wanted to go to shoot. So many times I have seen the photo of the light trails from the cars driving on the freeway and downtown San Diego in the background. But I never really knew where these pictures were being taken.
I’m not going to lie and say that all the photos I take are my own original ideas, because they are not. I find inspiration by looking at other photographers and the works that they create. Sometimes I like to recreate them or put my own twist on them. And that is how I ended up at the Grantville trolley station.
La Jolla cove has always been my go to place when I need to clear my mind. This time when I went, it was pretty busy that day because I went to the cove right before the sun was going to set. I was lucky enough to find a good spot near the rocks as I waited for the sun to set. This gave me a good opportunity to try out different settings that would give me the best results on capturing the sunset.
A lot of these random places I find by seeing pictures my friends post on social media sights. I have always been a big fan of graffiti so anything with graffiti on it tends to catch my eye. When I saw a photo of this dam with all of the graffiti on it I was determined to find out where it was located.
